Training Log

All the avid readers of this blog, all ten of you, may have noticed my training log in the side bar to the left of the text. This is a Sidebar plug-in from an online training log; http://www.buckeyeoutdoors.com/. Buckeye is a free, yes I did say free, online training log that allows you to upload you training efforts and store them online. In addition you can create a team training area, view; there are currently over 30, and post training plans. There is an area for messaging other members and a forum where you can request features that you would like to see.

Currently there are 875 members registered many of which ‘share’ their training schedule, that is they make them available for other to see much in the same way you can see mine. I have only been using this for a couple of weeks and over time will go back and complete it from the beginning of the year, this will allow me to utilize some of the tools that are available which include summary reports and the ability to graph your progress, sometimes its easier to spot a trend graphically rather than numerically - although you do not need a graph to say your legs ache!

There are other features including the weather, heart rate zones and a route memory that I have yet to fully investigate, but so far I think it’s a great product and would be a real life saver for anyone who saves a log ‘locally’ on their pc and is worried about it crashing.
